Championship Regulations

 

Eligibility

The Top 32 players on the Bushnell Standings as of March 1, 2O08 are extended invitations to play. In addition, the host club's club champion and special exemptions are extended invitations.

Format

36 holes stroke play.

Schedule

2nd round

Entry Fee - $150

Entry fee includes green fees, practice range, and lunch each day.

Prizes

The champion, runner-up, and low senior receives a symbolic trophy. In addition a prize pool shall be distributed to several places.

Practice Privileges

There is no official practice round for the Kansas City Masters.

Starting Times & Player Information

Starting times and player information are available and posted to the KCGA website (kansascitygolfer.org) no later than 10:00 a.m., the day following the entry deadline. Players without internet access may call the KCGA. Starting times and player information are not mailed.

Rules of Golf & Conditions of Competition

Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA, and the KCGA Local Rules and Conditions of Competition as approved by the KCGA Rules and Competitions Committee. Questions shall be settled by the Committee, whose decision shall be final.

Personal Appearance & Conduct

Proper golf attire is required. Jeans, t-shirts, and tank tops are prohibited. Shorts must be mid-thigh. Golf shirts must have a traditional or mock collar and must be tucked in. This dress code will be used in conjunction with any additional dress code used by the host club. Any act of unsportsmanlike conduct, including the use of obscene or abusive language, may be cause for disqualification.

Withdrawals

If a player must withdraw from the event, he must notify the KCGA office immediately. After notifying the KCGA, the player will be required to send a formal withdrawal notification by email, fax, or mail.

Refunds

If a player properly withdraws prior to the close of entries, upon proper written request the player will receive a full refund of the entry fee minus a $10 administrative fee. If a player withdraws after the entries close and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the event, upon proper written request the player will receive a refund of 50% of the entry fee. There are no refunds if a player withdraws less than 48 hours prior to the start of an event. Exceptions may be made for sickness or extenuating circumstances, after review of the written request.
