Practice RoundOnly ONE practice round is available the competitors in the qualifier. If you are a local PGA Professional, please do not request an additional practice round as a professional courtesy. Those living in the Kansas City area are strongly encouraged to play a practice round the week prior to the championship. Those who live outside the Kansas City area may play a practice round on Tuesday, May 14. Tee time reservations may be made by calling Creekmoor at (816) 331-2621. The practice round is complimentary, however, you are responsible for any cart, practice range or food & beverage fees incurred during the practice round. The fee for a cart is $16 per person. LodgingThere are numerous hotels in the area with a variety of rates. To find what best suites your needs look online at www.visitkc.com then select accommodations. The course is in the South/Southeast Area. RegistrationRegistration will be located on the patio in front of the Golf Shop. At registration, the Notice to Competitors, Hole Location sheet and Pace of Play Policy will be available. Important: Report to the starting tee no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time. There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time. TransportationPlayers and Caddies must walk at all times during the stipulated round. However, due to the distance between several holes, shuttles will be provided in several areas. CaddiesCaddies are permitted for this qualifier. The club does not have caddies, thus you are responsible for making your own arrangements for a caddie. Practice RangeOpens one hour before the first starting time. Range balls will be set up at the practice range and are complimentary for competitors prior to their round. Qualifying PositionsThis site has been allocated 6 positions. Play-offIn the event of any tie for the last qualifying place or any of the alternate positions, the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off starting immediately after the Committee has verified results and announced the play-off at the scoreboard. WithdrawalsYou must contact the USGA if you need to withdraw. A competitor who fails to notify the USGA or the Official in Charge of his withdrawal or fails to notify the Committee of his withdrawal during the qualifier is subject to a disciplinary action by the USGA. If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00 p.m. on May 13, please call (913) 484-1844. This is a KCGA mobile phone. If you get the voice mail, please leave a message. General Rules InformationThe Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf. Local Rules of the host course do not apply. The KCGA Rules and Competitions Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions. Reference to the Rules and Appendix I, may be found in the 2008-09 Rules of Golf book. Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: 2 Strokes. Attire & ConductProper golf attire is required. Blue jeans, designer jeans, tee shirts, mock collar, and tank tops are prohibited. Shorts must be at least mid-thigh and golf shirts with a traditional or mock collar are required. Creekmoor is a “spikeless facility.” Close of CompetitionThe qualifying competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
